Feb 20 (zenzestblog) – Elon Mask’s brain-chip startup Neuralink live-streamed its first patient implanted with a chip playing online chess .

According to Elon mask , disclosed on Monday that the inaugural human recipient of a Neuralink brain-chip implant has evidently made a complete recovery and can manipulate a computer mouse through neural impulses.

“Progress is good, and the patient seems to have made a full recovery, with no ill effects that we are aware of. Patient is able to move a mouse around the screen by just thinking,” – Elon Mask said in a event on social media platform X.

In an extraordinary development, Noland Arbaugh, a 29-year-old who suffered paralysis below the shoulders following a diving mishap, showcased remarkable progress.

Using the Neuralink device, Noland engaged in a game of chess on his laptop, effortlessly maneuvering the cursor with his mind.

This innovative implant aims to empower individuals to operate computer cursors or keyboards solely through the power of their thoughts, offering hope and transformative possibilities for those with physical limitations.


Recent reports have cast a spotlight on Neuralink’s safety measures, prompting renewed calls for scrutiny. Just last month, Reuters revealed that the company incurred fines for breaching U.S. Department of Transportation regulations pertaining to the transportation of hazardous materials. This development comes amid ongoing concerns surrounding the safety protocols of the company, valued at approximately $5 billion last year.
